Dancing by an independent cinema’s box office and bar is a thing in Golden Mile Tower’s fifth floor and the Gimmer Shelter crew throw a party featuring dance classics and rare gems. DJs Brendon P (SG), JB (France) and Carl Hinds (UK) bring house party rules to the foyer area of The Projector with music inspired by New York’s Disco scene and Chicago’s House music movement, to London’s and Notting Hill’s Rare Groove parties.

Saturday 25TH May – Sub City 170 Lounge: Renry Hollins, A/K/A Sounds, AL:X & Senja – From 7PM To 12 Midnight
Sub City returns to the hippest neighbourhood record store in the city this Saturday. Revision Music hosts this weekend edition of the 170 Lounge series exclusively to White Label Records.
Special guest Renry Hollins represents the infamous Ronggeng Sound System nights of now-defunct Under9 (KL) and Kuala Lumpur’s most current alternative music venue on everybody’s lips, fono.
Along with Revision’s chieftain Nez Senja, #subcitysg rezzie AL:X (Skalator Music, Portugal) & bass-muffin A/K/A Sounds (ATTAGIRL-BAOW BAOW), they will take you on a 170 BPM journey through all the styles within Drum & Bass and Jungle music. From the deep and minimal to essential syncopated rollers, as well as raw, junglistic break-beat and bass cuts, they will cover all bases.

Sunday 26TH May – Suka Suka Sunday by Singapura Dub Club – From 5PM To 12 Midnight
Singapura Dub Club returns for another edition of their street party at Bones ‘n Barrels at Sentosa Gateway (5-minute walk from Harbour Front MRT) with their trademark Jamaican Jerk BBQ food to go along with a soundtrack of Reggae, Hip Hop, Dancehall and Afrobeats music.
Live music by Bintan Reggae band Mafia Kodang will also happen on an indoor stage, while the outdoor space will be sound tracked by DJs ALX, Justo, Eden and DJ Blaze from Hong Kong. The all inclusive BBQ will provide a Vegan friendly menu supported by Vegetarian Society (Singapore) with dedicated grills for Jerk flavoured vegetables. A sheltered and supervised ‘Kid Zone’ with movies, games and Reggae colouring contest, means good ‘irie’ fun for the whole family.
