Friday 17TH May – Asian Heavyweights session ft. Nanziee (45swars/Olympic Digger) – From 8PM To 12AM
White Label Records kick off a new series this Friday titled Asian Heavyweights that will feature a collective or DJ from the South East Asian region. Representing the Olympic Digger collective from Bangkok, NANZIEE is a Thai DJ who specializes in playing Hip Hop, Soul and Funk music on 45RPM 7-inch records. Being the founder of two record stores in Bangkok – Vinyl Feeling and 45 Wars – expect this master of the turntables to throw down and cut up the decks with quality beats on 45s, similar to his set at Revision Music’s Beat Bodega at Kult Kafe last August.
Friday 17TH May – The Council presents Demuja (Freerange) – From 23.59AM To 3AM
your weekend dose of House music with Salzburg based artiste Demuja, who has
released on labels such as Nervous Records and Foodmusic. Launching his own
label, MUJA in 2016 has seen him produce solid House beats with seventies and
eighties Disco samples layered on top, for high quality dance floor workouts.
TUFF CLUB is THE place to be this Friday for all night dancing.
Saturday18TH May – Kelab Malam: All Girl Edition – From 8PM To 12 Midnight
Great food for dinner plus cocktails, is the way to go this Saturday as dining and art-space venue Telok Ayer Arts Club hosts three female DJs – Aresha, A/K/A Sounds & Ginette Chittick – who will spin a mixed bag of Drum & Bass, Bass music and Indie Rock, respectively. Sunday19TH May – Artichoke x Good Times present: Jamboree – From 4PM To 10PM
Who needs an excuse to jam? The Good Times fellas bring the tunes, and Artichoke’s got the grub. Featuring acclaimed DJs Shellsuit of Pushin’ On and MZA of Matteblacc, the two will be playing Funk, Soul & Hip Hop tracks while Shawarma Snack Packs, chocolate hot pockets and ice cold beers will be sold for $10 a pop. It’s going to be one hell of a party. It’s a public holiday and hangovers can wait… till Monday.
