Friday 12TH July – Potato Head Rooftop Sessions #003: Brilliant Corners – From 5PM To 2AM
Potato Head Rooftop sessions returns for a third edition with a special guest from Brilliant Corners, a bar and restaurant in Hackney, London that curates music on an audiophile sound system to go alongside Japanese and Asian food. Expect the venue’s lead music curator and DJ from the UK Amit, to deliver alternative sounds of Jazz and World music on Potato Head’s brand new Funktion-One sound-system installed on the tropical themed roof top terrace bar, with resident DJs Krishan P and Matty Wainwright on support duties.

Saturday 13TH July – Choice Cuts Presents: Uploading 001 – From 7PM To 12AM
Established Singaporean music producer and sound designer Intriguant, launches a series of events at Joo Chiat’s dopest record store to break new ground and talent with local beat makers and producers. He will be showcasing beats alongside soon-to-be known names like Cravism & Maya Diegel, Zrina and MZA alongside visual artists Six and Matthew Ryan. Expect lo-fi and hip hop beats and the odd electronica experimentation.

Saturday 13TH July – Running with Strippers 2019 : Rave – From 10PM To 3AM
Running with Strippers is CAKE Theatre’s yearly party to provide a space for artists from a range of disciplines to showcase their craft. This year they have teamed up with Syndicate to throw a showacse of music and rave, inspired by the evolution of electronic music culture from the late eighties to modern day. Sets by Darren Dubwise, Kiat and Intriguant will take place alongside Singapore debuts of Melbourne based DJs Jenn C and Tzechar. Come with an open mind towards electronic music and dance with open arms and steps – or not.

Sunday 14TH July – Nindgabeet x Choice Cuts Presents: Trio of Beet (Live) – From 7PM To 11PM
Sunday is THE day for live music at Joo Chiat Road with Trio of Beet, consisting of Chok Kerong (Organ), Andrew Lim (Guitar) and Soh Wen Ming (Drums) treating you to Jazz music as it should be – not high brow or intellectual – connecting with the audience emotionally, and garnering the attention without any forced explanation. The trio has performed over more than a decade with features at Jazz festivals in Tokyo, Jakarta and Singapore.
