This is fact not fiction, for the first time in years.
The first time in about three years to be exact, since we first and last saw Death Cab For Cutie in the flesh at Fort Canning and they opened with that. It’s happening again guys! DCFC is playing right here in Singapore on 7th of March for Symmetry Entertainment‘s WOAH Fest Sideshow.

We over in Asia may not have heard a peep again from the well- and long-loved indie rock band, but we certainly have been keeping tabs on them. Here’s a rundown: Kintsugi (2015) is their eighth and most recent album – and before you get to Googling the word, here’s what it’s derived from:
Ben Gibbard (vocals, guitar, piano), Nick Harmer (bass) and Jason McGerr (drums) took to the philosophy almost instantaneously when deciding on a name. We’ll be looking forward to hearing this live. In the fresh absence of founding guitarist Chris Walla, who left after Kintsugi was produced, we wonder if Death Cab might serve up its notable tunes the same again.
Although their recent remix of Yoko Ono’s ‘Forgive Me, My Love’ is still puzzling, we aren’t any less excited to witness both their instrumental and electronic prowess alongside Gibbard’s ever metaphorical writing, which is what makes their sound not only vastly but also deeply relatable, highlighting lines in the chapters of a listener’s life when they least expect it. Check out some of our favourite songs by them at the bottom of this post.
