It’s raining again this afternoon, but we’re ditching the doleful guitar twanging for hella quirky power pop and brolly-spinning. OK Go’s music video for I Won’t Let You Down seems to fit the bill. It’s a true masterpiece of mind-boggling precision, spatial awareness and impeccable synchronisation – the thought of that spectacular bird’s eye view still has us reeling weeks after we (re)watched it.

That must have been the intention.

The occasional minor mishap due to human error would reveal that the Honda-sponsored video was done in one seamless take – a major feat which probably deterred the makers as much as water deters a plant from growing, with what the Japanese being Japanese. Enjoy, check out the interview, pre-visualisation and remember to shut your jaw after!
