With not three stages but four this year, Laneway will be a smorgasbord of genres and subgenres from not just around the region, but around the world. And as we welcome acts like CHVRCHES and Grimes once more, there are tons of up and coming bands which St Jerome’s is eager to let us experience firsthand. Our picks? It has to be the unbeatable – Violent Soho, Beach House, Purity Ring, Flume, 1975, as well as Banoffee, HEALTH and Goldlink whom we’re hearing for the first time and already can’t get enough of. And we’re definitely looking out and rooting for local favourites Riot in Magenta, Cashew Chemists, Intriguant and more.
