Friday 3RD August 10.30PM Til Late – Artifacts featuring Intriguant & Funk Bast*rd

A well curated music party in the living room-esque, indie-cinema bar that is Intermission Bar at The Projector, is spearheaded by Darker Than Wax El-Capitan Funk Bast*rd and the highly respected veteran music guru Ramesh, every first Friday of the month.

This time around special guest Intriguant flexes his muscle on the decks with World & Beat music as a starting point, for a unique blend of sounds from a variety of influences, that has seen him release his own music and following up with regional tours. Entry is free with $5 beer deals all night.

Saturday 4TH  August 4PM To 10PM – Beat Bodega: Music Market & Jam

Sideshow & Revision Music team up for a day full of activities all serious & casual music fanatics (collectors, practitioners & aficionados) will love.

BEAT BODEGA is rebooted by the creative folk of Sideshow and Kult Kafe with the addition of Revision Music curating a Music Market featuring independent Singaporean music labels, collectors, vinyl & physical music format resellers, as well as like-minded music collectives from the region.

Kult Gallery will also be open throughout for viewing of music-related art from their archives. They will also be compiling digital artwork & posters of gigs from independent music collectives & promoters from the recent & further in the past.

The Kult team will also be operating a Silk Screening Station with designs from Beat Bodega, Pushin’ On, Kult & Revision Music to be printed and for sale on demand.

Another activity in the gallery space will be an Open Music Jam where all forms of beat makers, musicians, loop artistes & vocalists are welcome to join and create music with digital & analog technology from scratch, with the guidance of an experienced music maker. Kids are welcome to join in the fun!

All these activities are free to participate in while Vinyl DJ sets by Singaporean & regional selectors – Public School & Botanic Records from Kuala Lumpur as well as Olympic Digger crew from Thailand – set the groove at the outdoor area of Kult Kafe + a VJ Set of cool, visually stunning & alternative music videos by Revision Music’s Senja kicks off in the Gallery at 7PM.

Live music at Choice Cuts Goods + Coffee is always a great vibe on a Sunday in Singapore’s Katong area. After last weekend’s well received performance by Trumpet Z and the Boogie, this Sunday we will get to hear World Music & Afrobeat rhythms by Singapore’s Instigator Afrobeat Orchestra.
