Old school Singaporean Drum & Bass collective GUERRILLA will be recording a SGCR episode and re-releasing a small run of limited edition T-shirts at the hip record store-bar on Ann Siang Hill, White Label Records. DJ sets by original selectors Ash, Kiat, Has, Ramesh & Dubwise will roll out for a great evening of D&B music to initiate your weekend – along with White Label’s decent selection of Japanese inspired food & even more decently priced drinks.

Friday 26TH October 11PM Til 3AM – The Council x DTW present Dan Shake (Mahogani Music)
The Council and Darker Than Wax team up again to bring you some funky and soulful 4-to-the-floor beats with Dan Shake from London, UK making a Singapore appearance.
The artiste’s debut release graced Moodymann’s Mahogani Music in 2014 and it has propelled him to playing the best alternative electronic music gigs in Japan & Australia, as well as closing the main stage of Dimensions Festival, Croatia.
Along with his monthly residency for Rinse FM UK, experience a musical journey through the raw sounds of house & disco inspired by the original electronic music scenes from Detroit and Chicago.
Cover charge is $25 all night and there will be no entry to TUFF CLUB after 2.30AM without a valid entry stamp.
Saturday 27TH October 10PM Til 3AM – Sub City All Styles Edition: Halloween Costume Party
#subcitysg returns for a very special and very bassy, All Styles Edition. This time Revision Music have invited guests from Darker Than Wax, Sideshow & Guerrilla to play on a night dedicated to all things but D&B & Jungle, but have been born indirectly from or inspiring 90’s UK Jungle Music.
Expect music styles from wonky, bass-heavy Hip Hop to Dub Step & Grime, to Soca, Dance Hall & Gqom. The DJs might throw on some classic break-beat jungle for all the real Junglists at some point. This party is open for all to celebrate the horror & beauty of sub bass that is felt rather than heard, with a Halloween Costume Party.
Entry is $10 at the door and those in full costume get in free before 11PM.
Sunday 28TH October 7PM Til 11PM – Record Store Selects: Trumpet Z & The Boogie
You could call this a residency as Trumpet Z & The Boogie’s live shows at Choice Cuts have gained popularity over the past few editions, and has forced the record store team to create more space just for dancing. The band will bring you their trademark fusion of Jazz and Hip Hop. Expect some original material as well as some well-known covers with that special Trumpet Z, 4-piece band arrangement that brings live 80’s, 90’s, and 00’s hip hop to Singapore while mixing in elements of funk, jazz, and R&B.
Entry is $20 and includes a complimentary drink + really decent wine bottle promos are available.
