We love going out for music focused events where you don’t have to battle with non-like minded people who just want to hear the same pop music choruses & hooks 5 times in a night out. Somehow this city island has great, quality music if you know where to find it.. Let us round it up for you every weekend via the WireVision Gig Guide.

Saturday 23rd June 10PM Onwards – Sub City: Zul [SubvertHQ], JAC [UK] & Kane MC
Revision Music’s flagship monthly club night dedicated to all things Jungle and Drum & Bass returns yet again with headliners Zul of Subvert HQ, JAC from the UK and the irrepressible Kane MC hosting the massive rinse out.
Held every fourth Saturday of the month (never the last), #subcitysg has gained notoriety for serving up a gut full of sub bass with an accurate representation of break-beat music, and culture at 160-170BPM.
Focusing on sheer quality and the occasional odd anthem, the night has hosted Blocks & Escher (Metalheadz), MC Dan Stezo (Lenzman), Tamen (Subtle Audio, BCN) & at least a dozen Singaporean junglists in the past year, including Kiat who has had tunes signed to Metalheadz, Hospital & Function in the past.
Entry is $10 (Cash Only) to support the only Jungle-D&B party in the city!

Sunday 24th June 3PM Onwards – RVLT presents Frank’s Wine bar WINE RVLT ropes in the Good Times gang to provide some quality entertainment on a Sunday around the nooks & crannies of Boat Quay. The famed first-Friday-of-the-month party that ran for nine years at Blu Jaz was known for putting on DJ lineups of the alternative nature.
From Hip Hop to Bass Music, they prided themselves on providing a platform for music that were not accepted at bottle-serviced clubs & as well as at your popular Indie Rock & Nu Disco bar circa 2010. Many Singaporean music labels, collectives and friendships were born out of Good Times. Since being ousted out of the Blu, Good Times have popped up in a variety of daytime spots, hosting Belgian bop head Lefto at Tuff Club earlier this month, while still retaining the good & greater nature of the original Friday night party.
Expect no different this Sunday with music provided by Mza (Choice Cuts), Intriguant (GT) & CT Selekta (KL), who debuted in Singapore at Revision Music’s Organika at Kult Kafe in April this year alongside her Public School brethren, playing vintage Malayan Funk & Disco.
No reservations needed, entry is free and there will be hot dogs and bagels by Two Men Bagel House, RVLT & Swatizi!
