Techno music is at its peak of popularity at the moment, and Headquarters by The Council kick off the month of January with HE/AT (UK), to slam home the fact. A DJ, producer and label owner of Flux Recordings, his brand of techno is one that has no compromises. With a CV that includes a long running residency at UK’s Atomic Jam, and remixing music by Mark Broom and A Guy Called Gerald with a versatility that spans experimental sounds to pure dance floor acid business, expect some HE/AT from Headquarters’ red-lit cage!

Cover charge is $25 all night and there will be no entry after 2.30AM without a valid entry stamp.

Saturday 12TH January – The Council x DTW presents Project Pablo – From 12MN To 4AM

Hailing from Canada (Montreal and Vancouver), Project Pablo is an innovative producer-DJ with a style that spans from loosely swung house to boogie-down disco,which is sure to make your feet and body move at your favourite dance-for-fitness spot on Robinson Road, TUFF CLUB. Continuing on with their series of collaboration with Darker Than Wax to bring you funky and groove based four-to-the-floor beats from around the world, Project Pablo has been writing music for dance floors since 2015 on labels suchs as 1080p, Royal Oak, Spring Theory and Lone’s Magicwire. Doors to the 19th floor club open at 12 midnight, and Project Pablo’s grace is bound to be magical, as seen in this DJ set from Sugar Mountain festival.

From acid tinged techno with HE/AT to a looser, boogiefied avenue of house music with Project Pablo, a weekend of exploring quality music in Singapore’s nightlife scene will not be complete without a dosage of tech house, with Kilo Lounge playing host to Richy Ahmed (UK). With a touring schedule that includes residencies in Ibiza to features in BPM festival Mexico, Blue Marlin Dubai and of course Berlin’s Panorama Bar, Richy Ahmed has been awarded a spot in Resident Advisor’s top 100 DJs for the past three years – all this while running his label Four Thirty Two since 2016. Initially bursting on the scene with Hot Creations in 2015, expect this well sought after producer-DJ to take you on an infectious journey through the realm of ‘techy’ sounding house.

If a dark club with banging beats does not tickle your fancy, check out Afrodisia instead. Music wise, expect everything that comes from the continent of Africa – from current afro beat jams to vintage African funk from the 60s and 70s by DJs Rushmo and Sadat. Hosted at the cosy and warm living room-esque space of Intermission Bar at The Projector, special guest, Jasmyn will also be selecting choice servings of Afro pop music.
