As an 80’s kid, I knew these fellas as good luck trolls.

Through Wikipedia, we learn that these troll dolls were also known as Dam dolls circa 1959, named after a Danish woodcutter, their very own Mister Geppetto, Thomas Dam.

Dreamworks Animation announced in 2010 that they were going to release a feature film on these trolls, and in 2013 that they had bought full rights from the Dam company.

From the creators of Shrek, comes 2016’s TROLLS, depicting just how far some would go to achieve their version of happiness. You just know it’ll be a great film based on the musicality of the soundtrack. Poppy (Anna Kendrick) is the ‘happiest troll ever born’, and there’s only just Justin Timberlake as Branch, the overly cautious troll.

Here’s the 1st official trailer.

The TROLLS’ stellar cast include Zooey Deschanel, Gwen Stefani, Jeffrey Tambor, Christine Baranski, James Corden and Russell Brand.

The TROLLS soundtrack is produced by Justin Timberlake and features five original songs including songs by Justin Timberlake, Ariana Grande, Anna Kendrick and Gwen Stefani, in addition to a number of classic hits from the ‘60s through the ‘80s.

Surely by now you would want to watch this much anticipated animation.

If not, you’re either a truly grumpy troll or we’re pretty sure this next video of Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberland performing Cyndi Lauper’s ‘True Colors’ will be the clincher.

Opens in cinemas in Singapore November 3rd.
